Owner surrender

If you can no longer care for an animal, begin by sharing complete and honest information with our volunteer team.

Before you submit a request

Carbon Cat Rescue is foster-based and does not have a public intake facility. Submitting a surrender request does not guarantee placement. Capacity depends on available foster homes, funds, medical needs, and whether we can safely support the animal.

Please do not leave an animal at a mailing address or an unconfirmed location.

Information to prepare

  • Age, sex, species, breed, and current location
  • Medical, vaccination, and spay/neuter history
  • Behavior around people and other animals
  • Reason for surrender and timing
  • Clear, recent photos
